Well done to the Wilts over 60’s ladies team for their fantastic effort at the UK County Padel Championships held at Rocket Padel in Bristol this weekend. The team of Sheena Smith, Lucinda King, Tina Morse and Sara Sarre carried themselves brilliantly through some adversity over the weekend with one of ladies suffering a health issue in the first match and having to be taken to hospital – she is ok. Despite this, the team kept competing all weekend and had a fantastic individual win against Lancs.
Thanks also to Surrey for lending us a player so that Sheen had a partner for the weekend – Sheen and her partner actually won all their matches over the weekend but these couldn’t count towards our team as we were borrowing a player!
Very unlucky for the ladies but it was great to see three of the ladies representing their county for the first time and Sheen did a great job of captaining the team.
They are raring to go for next year 👍
